Yes, it's that time of year again. Time for Hollywood to continually pat itself on the back for an entire month. Tinseltown glute kissing abounds this time of the year. The Awards! The scandals that arise when somebody doesn’t get an award! The gossip! The red carpet! The embarrassing acceptance speeches followed by the way more embarrassing drunken after party interviews!
It'd the most wonderful time of the year!
I'm not kidding. I freaking LOVE Oscar season. It's fabulously trashy and a great way to workout. I will be posting my Oscar Workout next week. It's a highly effective in home workout that should be done in front of the TV during the Oscar pre-show as well as the auspicious ceremony itself. It's fabulous-n-fun (two of my favorite adjectives).
In honor of the season, I will be reviewing several of the Oscar nominees. There's 10 of them this year, so I’ll need some help.
Today we have a review of Darren Oronofsky's “Black Swan” starring best actress nominee Natalie Portman. A disturbing tale concerning a somewhat disturbed (okay, that's somewhat of an understatement) ballerina vying for the principal role in a production of “Swan Lake.”

So, The Boy and I took in a screening of Planet 51 last weekend. I was fully prepared not to enjoy it. It was already suspect due to the limited number of theaters it was playing in.
